Top Tips to treat and prevent carpal tunnel syndrome
What is the difference between Elton John and a computer operator? Give up? Well, all the pianists are much less likely to have carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). If we write, the price scan, or sewn as a pianist tickling the ivories, wrists straight, hands and fingers almost the same level with the keyboard, the wrist injury could be avoided, often debilitating. The carpal tunnel is a passage that leads through your wrist. Nine of the tendons on the median curve of the engine that powers and sensory impulses to the thumb, index, middle finger, ring finger and the middle of run through this tunnel of bones and ligaments. If you have CTS, tissue swelling in this tunnel, the compression of the median nerve.
This means that the pressure of the median nerve is not possible to translate the electrical impulses in the brain, as it should be. Think of the median nerve, such as radio or cable television. If left to send a clear signal, you get static. Faulty signals a compressed median nerve can cause tingling, numbness and pain in fingers, wrists, and also the forearm. Many people think that the CTS as an occupational hazard, caused by too much time on the computer. However, any repetitive strain on the wrist, such as driving embroidery, stable, and even golf can trigger carpal tunnel syndrome. Continue and wrist is twisted and is not the only culprit. The so-called passive form of the CTS is caused by health conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disease, arthritis, and even pregnancy.
CTS may seem scary to some people. However, here are some ways to find relief.
Put the ice in pain. Fill a plastic bag with ice, wrapped in a thin towel and rub vigorously on the top of the wrist. Ice helps reduce fluid retention around the ligament for carpal tunnel, reducing the pressure on the median nerve.
Keep the wrist in neutral position. Use a wrist strap. Find wrist splints at any pharmacy. Make sure you buy the tutor keeps your wrist completely straight. Putting the splinted hand palm up on a table, which must be flat, while the wrist in line with the forearm. Use the splint at night, too. Most people with CTS flex wrists when they sleep, irritation of the median nerve.
Try B6. Take 50 mg of vitamin B6 twice a day. People with carpal tunnel syndrome tend to be deficient in this vitamin, which is associated with the function of the nerve. Some people with CTS can get dramatic relief with B6. The nerves seem to respond to specific vitamin, even though we are not sure why. Consider talking to your doctor before taking this much vitamin B6. High doses of this vitamin can cause numbness of the feet and unco coordination in walking.
Reach the sky. Keep your hands above the heart whenever you can. The liquid in your hands can increase the pressure on the median nerve. When you sit on the couch, for example, resting your elbows and hands at the top of the back, instead of keeping his hands in his lap. Also raise their hands two or three times a day for a few minutes to help prevent numbness and tingling.
